
Sripadaya is located in Rathnepura district Sri lanka. As Buddhists say, at the top of the mountain there is a mark of the foot Buddha. Giving that meaning they called as Sripadaya.
Since this area palatinate by a god call Saman, this forest named as Saman Dew Adawiya.
To reach to the top of the Sripada mountain there are three major roads called Hatton road, Rathnepura Kuruwita road, and Rathnepura Palabaddala road. amoung these three roads most beautiful and longest road is Kuruwita road.On the way to top of the mountain Sripada, you will be able to watch such beautiful places.
When you going to worship Sripada one of conventional custom is getting bath from Seethagagula river and get clean.
When you reach to the top of this mountain perspective you'll not believeThis is a simple example for it.
All pilgrims used to watch the rising of the sun called Ira sewaya. In March you can see it very clearly since the rainy clouds and mist are lower.
There is place called Diwaguhawa near the Sripadaya where the Buddha got his alms. But people who live in this area say that still we couldn't find the place Diwaguhawa.
There are so many stories around Sripada, if you are a Buddhist at least one time you must have this experience.
